Book Reviews...
Put your THOUGHTS in Print - by: Jan Verhoeff
Jan,
Thanks for the great tips and ideas about how to publish my family genealogy booklet! We printed the first copies in August 2003 and have sold 32 copies to various family members, plus more than 20 copies to friends who just wanted to read the book! It's been a great way to get our family history in lights! C. Thomas |
Jan,
When you mentioned having written a book about how to publish your own work, I thought it would cost way too much. But, I was wrong. For less than the cost of carbon copies I was able to put together and publish a really cool paperback style book for our family reunion last summer! I'll be using your book over and over again. Before the next family reunion, I plan to have a booklet full of recipes to publish. Thanks so much for the inspiration. J. Litner |
You should
have named the book "KISS" it is so simply written and so
effective. I wrote my children's stories on the computer, printed
them out, numbered the pages by hand and had it all printed with a cover
designed by my son. It's a real hit with all the kids'
friends. I may publish some more to sell!
Thanks, K. Tabor |
I've
written so many poems. I thought I'd never get published, so I had
given up. When I saw your book advertised at the bottom of an
email I had to order it.
My poetry is now proudly presented in a great paperback book with a colorful originally designed cover - and people are buying my work! I'm so happy!!! Thanks. K. Shelby |
Stories for the Trail - by: The Lamar Writer's Group
This is a great collection of
stories, poetry, and essays all very interestingly written. I love
the variety. I only have to take along one book to find something
interesting to read on any trip.

I've
enjoyed so much of this book I don't even know what my favorite part
is. I love the socks story! Funny!!! And the patriotic poems
are great too. I really enjoyed the Amity Canal poem - it must
have been written by someone who loves the country as much as I do.

There is
something for everyone in this book! I love the variety. Reading
it to my children is a great joy. Our family takes it on almost
every road trip.

Poetry always
touches my heart. The poems in the Stories for the Trail book are
touching, simple, and heart felt. I appreciate the sentiment in
this delightful little book.
